Vitamin A is a key substance. If enough of it is present in the body, one can expect an inhibiting effect on the development of cancer. That is why there were large intervention studies that have tried to improve vitamin A supply through tablets. Fatally, the wrong form was chosen: Provitamin A. It would have been better to use the bioavailable, natural form, Retinol for example.
