If nothing helps, there are various drugs - both old and effective new ones - that can lower the dangerous LDL cholesterol. But there is a risk cholesterol that is rarely tested for. However, its role is considered to be increasingly important. Lp(a) - pronounced »LP small a«. Like »normal« cholesterol, however, it is actually a so-called lipoprotein.
