First, it's good to be able to identify potential sources of stress as such in the first place. We need to be aware that we spend most of a modern day in stressful tension! Your breathing rate is a very good marker of how tense your body is (as well as, conversely, how relaxed it is). Ideally, it should be under 12 breaths per minute. Try having a really quiet moment to count how many times you breathe in a minute. Then wait until the next time you see, write, or read something entraining on a screen - the TV, your cell phone, a computer - and measure your breathing rate again. It will now have increased. If you fail to notice an increased breathing rate on your own, sometimes it can also be helpful to wear a small device (e.g. »Spire« breath tracker) that alerts you when you start breathing too frantically.
