I am a big friend of fasting therapy and I also support some patients eating a ketogenic diet. Still, you will hear me say that every meal has to include fiber. While it may be possible to supplement with fiber while on a keto-diet (or you could be easting lots of lettuce while doing keto which I strongly advice), how should water fasting be any healthy when it will forbid by definition also fiber? How can that be healthy for your gut?
